UK ETA Visa Application

ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is an automated system that determines the eligibility of travelers seeking entry into the UK.

The UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is available to citizens of eligible countries and permits a stay of up to 6 months.

This streamlined process is much faster than traditional visa applications and does not require a visit to a UK embassy or an interview, making it highly recommended when applicable.

UK ETA Passport Photo Requirements – Mandatory Guidelines for Application

To apply for a UK ETA, you must provide a passport photo.

The submitted ETA will be linked to the passport, so it is important to provide an accurate image.

You must submit a physical passport photo. Uploading or taking a digital passport photo may result in your application being rejected.

Required Information in the Passport Photo or Scan

1. All four corners of the personal information page

2. The passport holder’s personal details (name, date of birth, etc.)

3. Your face photo

4. Machine Readable Zone – MRZ (What is MRZ? It's the 2–3 lines of letters, symbols, and numbers at the bottom of the passport’s information page.)
